SPE QLD boasts two Student Chapters, the University of Queensland Student Chapter (SPEUQ) and Queensland University of Technology Student Chapter (SPEQUT). Both student chapters operate under the SPE QLD Section, which is one of the largest SPE sections in the Australasian region. The QLD Section in turn is recognised under the SPE International organisation. There are more than 164 SPE sections around the world and more than 170 SPE student chapters, which highlights the global significance of the oil and gas industry.

The efforts of the various SPE Sections and Student Chapters, such as ours, enable students and professionals alike to stay active and up-to-date with the amazing progress of this industry of ours.
